The move from primary to secondary school is an important event for pupils. At Notre Dame we hope to make this move as untroubled and smooth as we can. Pupils from the three associated primaries in our learning community visit Notre Dame, meet secondary school staff and have an opportunity to find out about the exciting and challenging work of our school. Notre Dame staff visit and work with colleagues in each of our three associated primaries as part of our 5-14 programme. Parents/Carers of associated primaries are welcomed into the school - especially for our Open Evening before Christmas and our induction meetings through March-May.
All P7 pupils who have expressed an interest in enolling for August are invited, during the Easter holiday, to a morning of fun and challenge in our 'Crystal Maze Challenge' which the school runs in partnership with Strathclyde University's Innovative Routes programme.
All Primary Seven pupils are also invited for a morning induction in June where they can meet with the girls who will be in their year group in August.

We are delighted to welcome pupils from over 40 primary schools this year and during May and June Pastoral Care staff visit primary schools to talk to class teachers and to pupils to ensure that appropriate preparations are made for each pupil as they join our school community.
| Parents of pupils enrolling in S1 for August 2010 should contact Mrs Taggart DHT if they have any questions or concerns about their daughter's transition to secondary school. The school Open Evening for P7 puipls and their parents will take place in December. Date to be announced. |
Parents will also be aware that the curriculum is changing.
