Library Mission

'The school library provides information and ideas that are fundamental to functioning successfully in today's information and knowledge-based society. The school library equips students with lifelong learning skills and develops the imagination, enabling them to live as responsible citizens.'

Notre Dame High School Library is committed to providing the best possible service to the school community:
· Offering free access to a wide range of resources that support the school’s educational aims and ethos;
· Promoting a culture of equality and diversity in which all learners’ needs are respected and supported;
· Providing learners with an opportunity to exercise choice and show responsibilty and citizenship;
· Developing skills for finding, understanding, using and creating information, which are vital to independent learning and effective participation in a democratic society;
· Nurturing a love of literature and reading for enjoyment to develop literacy, imagination and empathy.

The library is on the top floor of the building and hosts a spectacular view right across the city.
